Honey Ginger Iced Tea

Ingredients:

- 4 cups water

- 4 black tea bags

- 1/4 cup honey (adjust to taste)

- 1/4 cup freshly grated ginger

- 1 lemon, sliced

- 4 cups cold water

- Ice cubes

- Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

 

Instructions:

 

  1. Boil the Water:

   - In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

  1. Steep the Tea:

   - Remove the saucepan from heat and add the black tea bags and grated ginger.

   - Let the tea bags and ginger steep in the hot water for about 10 minutes.

   - After 10 minutes, remove the tea bags and strain out the ginger.

  1. Sweeten the Tea:

   - While the tea is still warm, add the honey.

   - Stir until the honey is completely dissolved.

  1. Cool the Tea:

   - Add the 4 cups of cold water to the tea mixture to cool it down.

   - Allow the tea to reach room temperature, then transfer it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1-2 hours.

  1. Serve the Iced Tea:

   - Fill glasses with ice cubes.

   - Pour the chilled honey ginger iced tea over the ice.

   - Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves if desired.
