Climate Action Pledge
LEADERSHIP
At Persiana Tea Makers we are serious about the environment and about climate change and we understand our role in showing leadership to bring about radical change and so influence our network and consumer behaviors. We believe that female managed businesses can led the way and must endeavor to bring about the high standards set by independent certification, and we are happy to publicly commit our efforts for a sustainable future.
We have taken the CLIMATE ACTION PLEDGE. We believe the tea industry must play its part in limiting the increase in global temperature to 1.5°C. We have committed to:
1) Measure and report on Scope 1, Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions (GHG)
2) Put in place a strategy to plan to reduce our GHG emissions and to meet targets to reduce it as a company by 30% by 2030.
3) Measure and reduce our Scope 3 emissions.
The Environment and taking steps to save the earth's natural resources is vitally important to us, so signing up to the Climate Action Pledge is just one measures of our commitment. We have already in 2023 undertaken the Climate Action Program to ensure we deliver on a net zero carbon strategy. We understand we have the ability to make real change and to motivate others to reduce emissions and have put in place internal training sessions for our entire Persiana tea makers team.
