Jooje Kebab: A Delicious Persian Cuisine


  • 400g chicken breast
  • 220g basmati rice
  • 2 bell pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • One clove of garlic
  • Salt, black pepper and brewed saffron

How to Cook:

chop the chicken then put it in a large bowl. For marinating chicken, cut the onions into large slices and place them between the chopped chicken. Add salt, black pepper and 2 tablespoons of brewed saffron to the bowl containing the chicken. In the next step, cover the lid of the bowl with cellophane and place the bowl in the fridge for 2 hours.

Cut the bell pepper in large slices. After 2 hours place the chicken on a flat surface like a meat board and hold each piece of chicken meat and sliced bell pepper with your hand and pass the skewer through it. After that, cover chicken tray with aluminum foil and put it into oven for 45 minutes at 180°c.

Cooking rice:

Wash once rice then put it into a saucepan add 1 cm water, 1 teaspoon of oil and one teaspoon of salt to it and heat it for 35 minutes on medium heat.
