Jooje Kebab Torsh: A Local Tasty Persian Food


-     400g Chicken breast

-     1 medium onion

-     2 cloves of garlic

-     2 tablespoons pomegranate sauce

-     2 tablespoons minced walnut

-     1 tablespoon Greek yogurt

-     1 tablespoon Brewed saffron

-     1 tablespoon olive oil

-     Half of teaspoon coriander powder

-     salt, black pepper, and turmeric


How to cook:

First stage: wash the chicken breasts and cut them into medium squares and put them into a bowl.

Second stage: slice the onion and cloves of garlic then add it to the bowl containing the chicken. add the brewed saffron to the bowl along with yogurt and minced walnut.

Third stage: add the pomegranate sauce along with 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the bowl containing the ingredients, and at the end, add coriander powder, some salt, black pepper, and turmeric and mix the ingredients well. cover the bowl with cellophane and put it in the fridge for 2 hours.

Fourth stage: After 2 hours place the chicken on a flat surface like a meat board and hold each piece of chicken meat and sliced bell pepper with your hand and pass the skewer through it. After that, cover the chicken tray with aluminum foil and put it into the oven for 45 minutes at 180°c.

Cooking rice:

Wash once rice then put it into a saucepan add 1 cm water, 1 teaspoon of oil, and one teaspoon of salt to it and heat it for 35 minutes on medium heat.
