Maash Polo: An Easy Persian vegan Food

Ingredients: 

  • 225g Basmati rice
  • 100g Mung bean
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • half of teaspoon oil

A pinch of cinnamon, turmeric and black pepper

 

Put mung bean into a small saucepan and pour 4 cm water into it. Now put it on the hob until it gets boiled.

Rinse the rice once, then add 1 cm water to the rice and put it in a pot. Add mung bean, oil, salt, and spices to the rice. Turn on the hob and allow the materials get cooked for 30 minutes on medium heat.
