Minty Green Iced Tea

 Ingredients:

- 4 cups water

- 4 green tea bags

- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves (plus extra for garnish)

- 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)

- 1 lemon, sliced

- 4 cups cold water

- Ice cubes

- Lemon slices (for garnish)

 

Instructions:

 

  1. Boil the Water:

   - In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

 

  1. Steep the Green Tea:

   - Remove the saucepan from heat and add the green tea bags and fresh mint leaves.

   - Let the tea bags and mint leaves steep in the hot water for about 5-7 minutes.

   - After steeping, remove the tea bags and mint leaves.

 

  1. Sweeten the Tea:

   - While the tea is still warm, add the honey or agave syrup.

   - Stir until the sweetener is completely dissolved.

 

  1. Cool the Tea:

   - Add the 4 cups of cold water to the tea mixture to cool it down.

   - Allow the tea to reach room temperature, then transfer it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1-2 hours.

 

  1. Serve the Iced Tea:

   - Fill glasses with ice cubes.

   - Pour the chilled minty green iced tea over the ice.

   - Garnish with lemon slices and extra mint leaves if desired.
