Tropical Hibiscus Iced Tea Recipe

Ingredients:
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers (or 4 hibiscus tea bags)
- 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 2 limes)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes

 

Instructions:

1. Boil the Water:
- In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

2. Steep the Hibiscus:
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers or hibiscus tea bags.
- Let the hibiscus steep in the hot water for about 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, strain the hibiscus flowers or remove the tea bags.

3. Sweeten the Tea:
- While the tea is still warm, add the honey or agave syrup.
- Stir until the sweetener is completely dissolved.

4. Add Pineapple and Lime Juice:
- Pour in the pineapple juice and freshly squeezed lime juice, stirring well to combine.

5. Cool the Tea:
- Add the 4 cups of cold water to the tea mixture to cool it down.
- Allow the tea to reach room temperature, then transfer it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1-2 hours.

6. Serve the Iced Tea:
- Fill glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour the chilled tropical hibiscus iced tea over the ice.
- Garnish with  lime slices if desired.

7. Enjoy:
- Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing tropical hibiscus iced tea!
