Caramel Pear- Winter Dessert

Pear is one of the most fragrant fruits that everyone loves. If you are a fan of pears, then you will definitely love this pear dessert. You can cut the pear in half or peel it and use it in this dessert and enjoy benefits of pears such as helping the immune system and digestion, preventing cancer, heart health, improving blood circulation and reducing inflammation.


-  4 pears

-  1 liter Water

-  200g Sugar

-  4 pcs of Cardamom

-  1 piece of cinnamon stick

-  ¼ teaspoon of saffron powder

-  ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract

How to prepare:

Step 1: Peel the pears with a sharp knife.

Step 2: Pour water and sugar into a saucepan and stir it until it boils and the sugar grains dissolve, then add vanilla, cardamom, cinnamon and saffron together with the pears into the saucepan.

Step 3: Put the lid on the saucepan and let it cooks on the medium heat for 1 hour.

(after 15 minutes, take out cinnamon stick because if it stays inside for a long time may make the pears bitter).

Step 4:  When the pears are cooked, take them out of the saucepan. but let the sauce be on the heat until the sauce becomes thick. Now, put the cooked pears in a serving dish and pour the thick sauce on it and put it into fridge until it gets cool then take out of the fridge and serve it with vanilla ice cream.
